The 3 Flute Solid Carbide Square End Mill is specifically designed for high-performance aluminum machining, deep groove milling, and extended reach CNC applications. Manufactured from premium micro-grain solid carbide, this tool provides excellent rigidity, sharp cutting performance, and superior stability during high-speed machining operations.
Unlike coated tools, this uncoated (bright finish) design is optimized for aluminum and non-ferrous materials, effectively reducing built-up edge (BUE) and ensuring a cleaner cutting process. The sharp cutting edges allow smooth chip formation and efficient evacuation, which is critical in aluminum machining where chip welding can affect surface finish and tool life.
The 3-flute geometry is engineered to balance cutting efficiency and chip removal capacity. Compared with 2-flute designs, it offers higher feed rates and better stability, making it ideal for production environments requiring both speed and precision. The optimized flute design ensures smooth chip flow, reducing heat accumulation and improving machining consistency.
The extended reach (necked / relief) design allows the tool to access deep cavities and narrow grooves without interference from the tool shank. This makes it highly suitable for complex aluminum parts where standard-length tools cannot reach the machining area.
This tool is widely used in industries such as automotive aluminum components, aerospace structures, mold manufacturing, and precision mechanical parts production. It is ideal for deep pocket milling, side wall machining, and slotting operations in aluminum alloys such as 6061, 7075, and other non-ferrous materials.
Although designed primarily for aluminum, the tool can also be used for light cutting of non-hardened materials such as plastics and soft alloys, providing versatility in general CNC machining applications.
